Thank you for your interest in the upcoming art show benefiting the Matt Callahan Legacy Project! As you know, Matt was an amazingly talented & passionate muralist, and his untimely death has made a major impact on his friends, family, and this community. The mission of the MC Legacy Project is to provide a platform to memorialize the life and artistic talent of Matt Callahan by creating opportunities for public art and youth-centered art programs. We want to spread his LOVE of visual art & inspire.
In partnership with Tampa Regional Artists , we are creating a memorial fund to create events and opportunities for budding artists. Our inaugural event co-hosted with Coppertail Brewing (whose exterior dons one of Matt's more famous pieces), will be an art show at their establishment in Ybor City showcasing a number of Matt's original pieces with the option to buy prints.
If you knew Matt Callahan, then you'd know that he loved to have a good time! December 1st will be an evening of music, food, art...and Coppertail beer! Celebrate the life of a man who was a major contributor to our lives and to many blank walls in Tampa and St. Petersburg. As his friends and family, we invite you to help us tell the end Matt's story in a way that will make us all proud. With your support, his legacy will be able to live on through public art projects and the artistic talents of children in our community.
