StART Class w/Cora Waterhouse

StART is designed to teach beginners the essential foundational skills of drawing, color-mixing and painting. There is a series of sequential lesson plans within four courses. The 4 courses are: Beginning Drawing, Intermediate Drawing, Intro to Color, and Intro to Paint. Each course is 12 weeks. Each course must be completed, in order, before students can advance to the next. Students advance to the next course together, until the entire series is completed. Lessons include demonstrations/discussions/ group and individual projects.

Children’s Art with Michael Mezich

3:00 -4pm (grades K-2)

4:15 - 5:30pm (grades 3-5)

The focus of this class is to build skills, work with different materials, and explore our creativity! The class will be student driven as the kids help decide what content and materials we explore. My personal goal is to provide students a chance to dive into art outside of the constraints of their normal school art class. I will keep the class size small - approximately 6-10 students per group. This will allow for students to be able to have a social aspect with the class without losing the chance to gain time and attention with the teacher.

The class will run in four 9-week sessions along with the Hillsborough County Schools calendar. Each session will cost $225, and will cover the studio space, the instruction, and the supplies for the entire session. All artwork made by the students will be theirs to keep.

Michael is also working to develop middle and high school classes on another day of the week. Classes would also be conducted in four 9-week sessions. He is also available for individual private sessions.
